That’s the religion I’d like to be in. It’s hard to beat a hot cup of caffeine and the pastry perfection that is the Honey Old Fashion (which has a close relative of the green tea flavor variety in Japan).
Almost time for Manabi Straight! to start. Since the fansubs are a few episodes behind, I’ve been staying up late on Thursdays to catch it live. Although I’ve been staying up late pretty much all the time now, mostly because I can. I am a man of few morning obligations, so I tend to take advantage of that whenever I can. (Yes, the “regular sleep schedule” thing went out the window. Now I just sleep when I feel like it.) Although this Saturday marks the first class of a new private lesson in the morning. (Gah—a morning class on Saturday. Why did I ever accept that?)
I guess most Saturdays aren’t much of a problem. But this particular Saturday is the Saturday before the Sunday when I have the story for 9:00 Kids Adventure time. Saturday is typically the only day I have for actual preparation (although I have the plan for what I want to do worked out beforehand). Last time it was drawings—this time I hope to make a “video game” mashed together in PowerPoint (or Flash, if MS fails me) from screenshots. Don’t tell Square, but I’m borrowing artwork from their Chrono Trigger RPG. (It’s not like they’re still making money off of SNES games anyway.) I have a feeling that putting this together will take much longer than I anticipate—the time I spend in preparation for these stories is on a decidedly upward linear trend of late.
